spotless
spotless: VERY clean. Before and/or after I erase the whiteboard, "Is the board spotless?" After they wash their hands I encourage them to say "My hands are spotless."
Word of the Day and Phrase of the Day is for my ESL class of 18 19 Taiwanese five to seven-year-olds. Most of them happen to be brilliant, so they need/love new things they can learn out of the textbook.
My goal for the WOD and POD is to introduce something that I can use during class at least a few times everyday for an indefinite time period. I'm not all about giving them a big word that most English speakers don't even know just because it's a cool sounding word. Many of the Words and Phrases are related and can be used in contrast to each other.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated, as it is actually a lot harder to meet the above description than I had originally anticipated. Here they are along with how I explain them:
